This is why I’m proud to be an American

American Gladiators is so deliciously awesome. Pure ’80s cheese just the way I like it. Of course, I also LOVE Bloodsport and Street Fighter: The Movie so you be the judge. I live for unintentional hilarity.

But if nothing else, watch it for Crush, the new darling of the Internet.

Don’t get fooled by her looks, she’s a legitimate Muay Thai fighter. She absolutely brutalized one of the contestants in the Joust event yesterday. Well, not that those two things necessarily have any correlation, but she’s my favorite Gladiator. Other favorites are Wolf and Titan.

And oh yeah, I’m back at school. My backlog of posts I keep intending to write continues to grow. I’ll get around to it one of these days…

HD clarity

without comments

I’m watching the PGA U.S. Open Championship now in HD. It’s been long known that movies and sports are the prime reasons for getting HD programming, but wow, watching this stunning golf course in HD is just unbelievable. The clarity and sharpness! The brilliant greens! You truly can’t go back after seeing HD.

The Apprentice rocked tonight

without comments

Even though I think The Apprentice peaked with its first season, when it was a show genuinely concerned with business matters rather than the endless parade of weekly corporate sponsors that it has now become, I haven’t missed a single episode in 6 seasons. Tonight’s episode was definitely the best of this season and had probably the best boardroom showdown of the last couple years. Wow, what intensity, and an amazing pay-off. It’s a shame how many people will miss this episode because nobody watches this show anymore.
